MILWAUKEE (May 3, 2017) – In celebration of Earth Day, a group of more than 40 volunteers from Godfrey & Kahn worked together at the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee to plant over 100 trees in Riverside Park. The project is particularly important for the health of the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum and Riverside Park because the species of trees planted are typically found south of Milwaukee.  It is considered to be an experimental forest that will allow for tracking the effect of climate change in the area over the next several decades. Since 2010, Godfrey & Kahn has worked on various projects with the Urban Ecology Center to help revitalize the area.
