Stepping up to support the American Lung Association

March 12, 2018

The American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb was held at the U.S. Bank Center in Milwaukee, Wis. on March 10, 2018. Climbers trekked up 1,034 steps (47 floors) and raised more than $700,000 in total. In addition to sponsoring the event for the 6th consecutive year, the firm also recruited attorneys, staff, family members and friends to form two teams which collectively raised nearly $21,000. Both teams’ fundraising totals placed them in the top 5 for all teams participating in the 2018 climb.

The Fight for Air Climb is one of the American Lung Association's signature fundraising events. These unique events are hosted in prominent skyscrapers across the nation and challenge participants as they walk, run or race up hundreds of steps. Funds raised at the events directly support research, education and patient programs to help the millions of Americans impacted by asthma, COPD, lung cancer, air pollution and other lung diseases.

Chris Cahlamer, shareholder and chair of the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group, is a member of the American Lung Association’s Upper Midwest Regional Board and serves as chairman for the Wisconsin Local Leadership Board. The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education and advocacy. The Wisconsin Chapter is based in Brookfield, Wis.
