Patrick S. Murphy is a shareholder in the Financial Institutions and Securities Practice Groups in the firm's Milwaukee and Madison offices.

Patrick concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising transactions, bank and bank holding company formations, general securities, financing transactions, and regulatory and compliance matters. In addition, he has represented clients with respect to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering matters, as well as in preparing and negotiating Remote Deposit Capture Agreements and other Treasury Management Services.

Mr. Murphy serves on the Financial Institutions Task Force of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and as the Chairman of the State Law Developments subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Banking Law Committee. He is a frequent lecturer for the Wisconsin Bankers Association Compliance Forum and the WICPA Financial Institutions conference.

Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, he spent six years working for a large national bank and eleven years in public accounting.
