Joy is an associate member of the Environmental and Energy Strategies Practice in the firm's Milwaukee office. Joy draws upon her environmental regulatory experience to assist clients on a wide variety of environmental and energy-related issues.

Joy graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Prior to graduating law school, Joy spent five years working for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in various areas including the Office of Pesticide Programs, Office of General Counsel, and the Great Lakes National Program Office. During her time at the EPA, Joy gained extensive experience working on complex issues including the review and mitigation of the environmental and human health risks associated with registered pesticides, Agency compliance under the Endangered Species Act, and Wisconsin's corporate environmental stewardship program, Green Tier.

Joy also received a graduate degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she completed her masters thesis on the health effects associated with the size distribution and metal composition of welding fumes.
