Women's Leadership Forum
We know that leadership is a key component to institute and maintain a diverse workforce and that is one of the reasons the firm instituted the Women's Leadership Forum (WLF). The WLF is part of the Diversity Committee and a vital firm resource that focuses on providing education and leadership opportunities to its attorneys generally and female attorneys in particular.
The WLF is specifically designed to serve as a catalyst for female lawyers in the firm to learn, share and collectively effectuate positive change in the firm and the communities in which we serve for the benefit of all lawyers, regardless of gender. By and through its Steering Committee, the WLF focuses its efforts in three key areas:
- Leadership Opportunity - Foster leadership opportunities with firm role models in conjunction with the firm's Attorney Advisor Program. Identify key leadership opportunities within the communities we serve and promote participation in those opportunities.
- Education & Events - Create educational series regarding topics of interest that promote leadership development. Provide venues for networking and professional development for female lawyers, both within and outside the firm. Support community organizations that host events aligned with the mission and objectives of the WLF.
- Policies & Practices - Evaluate firm policies, practices and programs that are related to the equitable use of benefits. Provide recommendations to firm leadership regarding policies and practices aimed at promoting attorney retention.
