We focus on, and are committed to, the growth and development of our associates. At the onset of your career with Godfrey & Kahn, you will immediately become involved and interact with clients. Our lawyers will make a concentrated effort to introduce you to client decision makers. Shareholders are expected to shift client responsibility to you as you refine your skills and gain experience.
Flexible Team Approach. Attorneys from various areas of practice work together to solve problems confronting our clients. This approach will allow you to gain experience outside of your specialty area and in specific industries. You will have access to all of our resources, including our most valuable resource—the time and attention of other attorneys in the Firm.
Shareholder Track. Like all our associates, you will be hired with the goal and expectation that you will become a shareholder in the firm. At present, an associate generally works with the firm for eight and one-half years before being elected to shareholder status.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Compensation and Benefits. The salary and benefit package offered to new lawyers is competitive with other major firms. You will find our billable hour expectations to be reasonable, and flexible working arrangements attractive. Additionally, the firm's group health and dental benefits cover qualified domestic partners and their dependent children.
