Milwaukee, Wisconsin (January 5, 2009).....Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that Maria L. Kreiter has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Justinian Society of Lawyers.

The Wisconsin Justinian Society of Lawyers, an affiliate of the National Italian American Bar Association, is comprised of attorneys, judges and law students of Italian ancestry. Society members foster the dignity of the legal profession, civic responsibility and the study of law. Kreiter was unanimously drafted by the sitting Board of Directors in recognition of her work with the Society in past years.

Kreiter, a member of Godfrey & Kahn's Litigation Practice Group, represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, focusing primarily on financial services claims, contract issues, business torts, and unfair competition claims. She was elected to serve on the Milwaukee Bar Association's Judicial Selection Committee and has been active in the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
