Attorneys Climb the 47-story US Bank Building Stairs for a Good Cause

May 19, 2014

On March 23, 2014, the American Lung Association hosted its 5th Annual "Fight for Air Climb" at the US Bank building in downtown Milwaukee. Shareholder Chris Cahlamer serves on the American Lung Association’s Wisconsin Leadership Board and co-chaired the Climb. Godfrey & Kahn’s team climbed the 47 floors in the building—starting on stair one in the basement and finishing on stair 1,034 on the observation deck, which provided great views of the city and the lakefront. Proceeds from this fun and challenging event went to further the American Lung Association’s mission to fight for healthy lungs and healthy air.

Godfrey & Kahn served as a sponsor for the event and the firm climbers raised almost $11,000. More than 50 Godfrey & Kahn employees sponsored one or more of the climbers.

The fastest Godfrey & Kahn climber to the top was Carolina Rodriguez with a fantastic time of 8:48. Carolina finished 6th overall out of 302 climbers in her age group. Tom Bausch was the fastest male Godfrey & Kahn climber with a time of 11:06. Ellen Drought had the most improved climb time, dropping almost 2 minutes from her time last year.
