Godfrey & Kahn Adds Attorney to Its Labor & Employment Practice GroupFebruary 21, 2006
The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. has announced the addition of Tom O’Day to its Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Milwaukee office.
Prior to joining the firm, O’Day worked in various capacities for Supreme Court Justice David T. Prosser, State Senator Alberta Darling, and Governors Scott McCallum and Tommy Thompson. He also has experience in state government in legal, policy and campaign roles.
O’Day received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and received recognition for his team’s written brief at the Thurgood Marshall Memorial National Moot Court competition. He received his master’s degree in education policy and leadership analysis from the University of Wisconsin, where he analyzed state and federal education law, including the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and state and federal education finance policies. O’Day received his bachelor’s degree in political science, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
