MILWAUKEE (Sept. 30, 2015)  Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce that Attorney Marvin Bynum II has been named a 2015 “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

The “Up and Coming Lawyer” awards recognize attorneys with eight or less years of experience, who have handled challenging legal issues, taken steps to improve the justice system and given of themselves to their communities. Honorees were chosen for their initiative and zeal for the practice of law, as well as their commitment to community and the positive effect they have on the lives of those around them.

Bynum and the other “Up and Coming Lawyer” honorees will be recognized tonight at a celebratory reception at The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Bynum is member of Godfrey & Kahn's Real Estate Practice Group and serves on the firm’s summer associate and law school fellowship committees. He tackles challenges with a pragmatic, level-headed approach, partnering with clients engaged in a gamut of commercial real estate transactions, including development, financing, leasing, acquisition, disposition, tax assessment appeals and low-income housing tax credit-financed development. He is experienced in representing local, regional, national and multinational companies, and understands issues from multiple vantage points, including those of lenders and borrowers, landlords and tenants, manufacturers and startup entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations and tribal entities.

Bynum received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and earned his J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.
