Milwaukee, Wisconsin (June 21, 2010). Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that shareholder Patricia Falb is a recipient of the 2010 Women of Influence Award from The Business Journal. Falb was one of 24 women in the Milwaukee area to receive this honor. The awards were presented on June 17th at the Frontier Airline Center.

The Business Journal received around 180 nominations for this award, and chose to recognize 24 recipients in 10 different categories, including family business, mentor, community supporter, non-profit leadership, and behind the scenes. Falb was recognized in the "behind the scenes" category for being a driving force behind the success of Godfrey & Kahn.

This is not the first time Falb has been recognized as a leading Wisconsin woman; she was named Woman of Distinction in Law in 2005 by the Wisconsin Law Journal. Additionally, Falb was instrumental in the development of Godfrey & Kahn's Women's Leadership Forum. The forum's goal is to promote leadership, camaraderie and success among the firm's women attorneys while focusing on policies and practices that benefit each employee at Godfrey & Kahn.

"I was very pleased to hear of Patricia's accomplishment," said Christine Liu McLaughlin, shareholder and chair of the Women's Leadership Forum at Godfrey & Kahn. "When you meet Patricia, you quickly learn that she believes in leading by example and is devoted to the management of our firm, supporting our attorneys, and servicing our business community, all of which takes hard work and is a consummate illustration of our Women's Leadership Forum."

Falb is a shareholder and member of Godfrey & Kahn's Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and management committee. She represents a variety of privately held companies and their owners and executives, as well as institutional lenders and investors on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Falb earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin.
