MILWAUKEE (Jan. 28, 2016) --Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce Amber C. Coisman, Patrick J. Cannon and Aaron P. McCann have joined the firm.

Coisman is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses on complex business disputes, including contract disputes, product liability, commercial torts, employment, real estate and insurance coverage. Her litigation experience includes work in state and federal courts throughout the United States as well as mediation and arbitration. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Coisman was a partner at a firm in Chicago where her practice focused on insurance coverage disputes. She earned her bachelor’s degree, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.

Cannon is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. He focuses his practice on entity formation and continued growth strategy, commercial contract negotiation, and mergers and acquisitions. Cannon’s corporate experience includes organizing business entities to assist with asset protection and structuring, documenting and closing stock and asset based transactions. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Cannon was an associate at a local area firm. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, his Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa and received his J.D., cum laude, from Gonzaga University.

McCann is a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Practice Group. His practice focuses on counseling and advocating for employers through all aspects of an employment relationship, beginning with issues in recruitment and hiring at the outset and continuing through severance discussions, termination, and, when necessary, post-employment litigation. He has guided many clients through the wide array of legal issues that frequently arise at the end of employment and has represented clients in federal and state court and in administrative proceedings before the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, McCann was an associate attorney at a Milwaukee area law firm. He also previously served as an in-house law clerk for a major U.S. corporation, a Judicial Intern for Justice N. Patrick Crooks, Wisconsin Supreme Court, and as Deputy Director of then-Wisconsin Governor James E. Doyle’s Washington, D.C. office. McCann earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
