Rick Bliss serves the firm as its Director of Client Relations, a position which provides Godfrey & Kahn clients with unique access to senior leadership of the firm. Rick assumed this role in January 2011 after serving for more than 15 years as the firm’s managing partner.
Rick continues as a member of the firm's Management Committee and a member of the Corporate Law Practice Group. With numerous private and publicly held businesses among his regular clients, Rick concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and business planning.
Rick has represented buyers and sellers in substantial transactions involving a wide range of industries, including specialty chemicals, dental equipment and supplies, communications and publishing, food and general manufacturing. In addition, he regularly provides counsel on corporate governance matters and counsel regarding succession planning in family businesses. Rick also serves on the Board of Directors of several charitable foundations and numerous community organizations as well as public and private corporations.
