Dan Flaherty is the former team leader of the Litigation Practice Group and practices in the Milwaukee, Appleton and Green Bay offices. His practice focuses on complex business litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Dan was a Federal Prosecutor in the United States Department of Justice, United States Attorneys Office, Eastern District of Wisconsin where he specialized in financial institution fraud investigations and prosecutions. While a Federal Prosecutor, Dan served as the lead prosecutor on a number of significant cases, including multi-million dollar white-collar fraud prosecutions. Dan was the lead prosecutor in John Morken bank fraud case and many other major white collar prosecutions including bank, wire fraud and tax prosecutions. Prior to serving in the U.S. Attorney's Office, he practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of a national law firm.
Dan's civil and criminal litigation experience includes antitrust, complex corporate disputes, financial institutions, health care, intellectual property, internal corporate (including Sarbanes-Oxley) investigations, securities and tax litigation. Dan's practice includes trial work in state and federal courts throughout the country and domestic and international arbitration and mediation.
Dan is a Past-President and Founding Board Member of The Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association.
