Alex Hansch is a member of the Corporate Law Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Alex represents a broad range of business clients, both private and publicly traded. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters and the negotiation of commercial contracts.
In his mergers and acquisitions practice, Alex frequently advises clients on stock purchases, asset sales, mergers, recapitalizations, private equity, succession planning and venture capital. He has represented a wide variety of buyers and sellers, including private-equity funds looking to manage their portfolios, publicly-traded corporations seeking to grow by acquisition, closely-held businesses pursuing a liquidity event, and institutional investors wishing to partner with a growing enterprise.
In addition to his mergers and acquisitions practice, Alex also has substantial experience acting as outside general counsel for businesses for their day-to-day commercial needs. He often helps to negotiate and draft commercial agreements for use in diverse industries, including agreements for the manufacture, sale and purchase of products and services, equipment leases, intellectual property licenses, distribution and supply contracts, international joint ventures, confidentiality agreements, warranty programs, terms and conditions of sale, employment agreements and other agreements necessary for the ongoing operation of his clients. Many of Alex’s clients include representatives of the region’s manufacturing sector, but also include businesses in the technology, service and life-science fields.
Alex received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in Political Science and Philosophy from St. Olaf College. He graduated first in his class at the Marquette University Law School, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Marquette Law Review.
