Susan Hoaglund is a member of the Investment Management Practice Group. Susan provides advice to investment advisers, investment companies, broker-dealers and banks regarding legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Susan practiced securities and banking law at Firstar Corporation (now known as U.S. Bancorp), where her responsibilities included providing legal support for a registered investment adviser, a registered broker-dealer, a proprietary mutual fund group and a capital markets group.
Susan began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Warren, Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Wisconsin, following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Representation of open-end and closed-end funds (including interval funds) in connection with SEC registration and ongoing compliance.
Advising fund boards of directors regarding governance and oversight matters.
Representation of SEC and state registered investment advisers.
Counseling banks regarding securities and banking regulations applicable to investment adviser, investment company and broker-dealer related matters.
