Annual Labor & Employment Law Seminars draw record crowds

June 02, 2016

In April, Godfrey & Kahn hosted a series of Labor & Employment Law Seminars aimed to serve the needs of executives, human resource professionals, in-house counsel and front-line supervisors. The seminars focused on practical approaches to preventing and managing employment law issues and were further designed to provide employers with information concerning recent changes in labor and employment law as well as with suggested strategies to deal with these changes.

With record-setting attendance, more than 500 attendees from around Wisconsin participated in the 2016 seminars. The three seminars were held at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee, the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison and at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

Members of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Law Practice Group presented a 2016 Labor & Employment Law Update, which provided attendees with the latest information on recent case law and legislative developments. Other topics included an interactive panel “Onboarding school: No employer left behind” and “Wage & Hour Update – More Money, More Problems: Preparing for changes to wage and hour regulations.” Speakers from Godfrey & Kahn’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Law Practice Group included: Jon Anderson, Annie Eiden, Rufino Gaytán, John Haase, Meg Kurlinski, Scott LeBlanc, Rebeca López, Aaron McCann, Christine McLaughlin and Tom O’Day.
