MILWAUKEE, WI (Sept. 12, 2019) Godfrey & Kahn attorney Ashley A. Smith has been elected to the Board of the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers (WAAL). Smith will serve as WAAL’s External Communications Director during her two-year term.

Smith is an attorney in both the Corporate and Emerging Companies Practice Groups at Godfrey & Kahn. She works with closely-held businesses and start-ups handling a variety of legal matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions.  

WAAL is an association of African American Lawyers dedicated to ensuring diversity in Wisconsin’s legal community. The Board consists of a wide array of lawyers from various backgrounds, enabling them to serve the best interests of minority attorneys throughout Wisconsin.
