June 08, 2017
St. Thomas More High School announces the addition of Katheryn A. Mills to its board of directors. A graduate of Marquette Law School, Mills is currently an associate attorney at the Milwaukee office of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C, where she practices labor and employment law.
“Katie’s experience in employment law and labor relations will be a great asset to St. Thomas More,” St. Thomas More president Mary McIntosh said. “Along with her professional expertise, Katie brings the high level of energy, enthusiasm, and engagement that we look for in our board members. We are incredibly grateful that Katie will be volunteering her time and knowledge to help us continue to improve the educational experience for St. Thomas More students.”
A native of Neillsville in Central Wisconsin, Mills graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her law degree from Marquette University. As an undergrad, she developed her interest in education while working in the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension. While in law school, Mills gained experience clerking for the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, assisting with research for Marquette Law School’s associate dean, and interning for Marquette’s Office of the General Counsel. In 2015, she joined Godfrey & Kahn’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Practice, where she advises clients on a variety of day-to-day employment matters, including administering family and medical leave law, disability accommodations, and wage and hour matters.
