Project Spotlight: EnTech Solutions and Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians-Odanah, WI

June 02, 2021

Microgrids, which provide both energy generation and energy storage for buildings and other structures, can provide significant energy resiliency, energy capacity and energy production value. Godfrey & Kahn’s Energy Strategies Team advises energy users and clean energy developers and investors on strategies to structure and implement projects to minimize net costs and maximize returns from clean energy projects, including microgrids. Among our clients are EnTech Solutions, a sister company of Faith Technologies, and the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. This microgrid project was structured to maximize and combine value of a significant U.S. Department of Energy Grant and valuable federal investment tax credits available for solar plus battery storage, allowing for a very cost-effective solution providing much-needed and substantially enhanced energy resiliency as well as energy cost savings for the Bad River.
