Lillie Conrad is a member of the firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice group as well as the firm’s Technology & Digital Business practice group. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Lillie worked as in-house counsel for a Fortune 200 consumer products company where she served as the company’s lead attorney for global data privacy and protection matters, including supporting the company’s technology procurement group. Lillie’s prior experience as in-house counsel and her industry credentials are differentiators in her ability to guide clients and allow her to serve as a true partner to businesses making technology implementation and data strategy decisions.
Lillie advises clients on a wide array of matters related to data privacy, cybersecurity, technology licensing and procurement, digital advertising and technology as well as due diligence in these areas in M&A transactions. She offers deep experience in global privacy and protection and working with clients who are implementing privacy programs under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD), the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other international regulations. Lillie also assists clients with cyber incident prevention and response and crisis management as clients respond to and remediate cyber security events.
In addition to her prior industry experience, she has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
