Bill approaches his client work much like he approaches raising his twin daughters – purposefully, with a high degree of care and dedication, and, importantly, with a vastly interconnected and collaborative support network.
Collaboration is of utmost importance in Bill’s life, both professionally and personally. Being collaborative professionally starts first and foremost with the relationship between a lawyer and a client, through which trust is built and understanding is gained as to the context of the client’s business and its specific needs.
Bill is a member of both the Corporate and Health Care practice groups, and is based in Godfrey & Kahn’s Madison, WI office. A large portion of Bill’s client work is in some way connected to the Health Care industry in Wisconsin. This may include, for example:
- working with a deal team on a merger, acquisition, or affiliation;
- managing or participating in an organization's commercial contracting process;
- assisting with the formation of a new or emerging company;
- drafting or reviewing financing or capitalization documents; or
- assisting with governance matters within an organization.
Bill started his legal career working at a Big Four public accounting firm, providing tax consulting services. Prior to focusing on Corporate and Health Care matters exclusively, his practice had developed into a tax-, estate and succession planning-, tax exempt entities-, and general corporate and business-focused practice. This progression has provided a solid backdrop for the transactional matters Bill’s clients may face on a day-to-day basis.
