Marriott - Milwaukee West
Join the Godfrey & Kahn Environmental Team attorneys and our guest, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Secretary Scott Hassett, as we explore the changing regulatory climate surrounding brownfield transactions.

Secretary Hassett heads the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, one of the largest regulatory agencies in the state. In this capacity, he is responsible for setting policy initiatives that significantly affect the redevelopment of contaminated property throughout the state.

Hassett, together with Art Harrington, Pam Barker, Diane Marchik and Brady Williamson of Godfrey & Kahn’s Environmental Law Practice Group, will discuss WDNR and EPA policies in the area of brownfield developments. The seminar will also feature a presentation on the emerging trend of privatizing risk transfers for remediation liability through the use of insurance and other contracts.
