MILWAUKEE (Jan. 22, 2021) – Godfrey & Kahn is pleased to announce that Edward (Ned) B. Witte consulted with President Joe Biden’s Agency Review Team for the transition of the Environmental Protection Agency to the Biden-Harris administration.
Agency Review Teams ensure a smooth transfer of power and prepare the incoming administration for day one. These teams, composed of experts in crucial policy areas across the federal government, are crafted to reflect the values and priorities of the incoming administration as well as to bring a diversity of perspectives to address the urgent and complex challenges facing the nation.
Witte, a member of Godfrey & Kahn’s Environmental Strategies Practice Group, maintains deep knowledge of issues surrounding PFAS. In addition to regularly writing and speaking on the topic, he has served as co-chair of a stakeholder resource group in the development of the State of Wisconsin’s PFAS Action Plan. Witte is currently a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials’ (ASTM’s) Collaboration Area AC417 – PFAS Real Estate, Legal, Due Diligence Focus Group. Through this role, he supports the Committee E50 on Environmental Assessment and Risk Management in developing standards to address PFAS in environmental due diligence through the ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessment process.
