We believe the legal community has a responsibility to ensure all citizens have access to legal representation and that the justice system operates fairly. Our attorneys contribute thousands of pro bono hours each year to organizations such as the Eastern District Bar Association, Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee and many more.
In addition, we staff the Milwaukee Justice Center’s Mobile Legal Clinic with four or five volunteer attorneys at a time. The Mobile Legal Clinic provides brief legal advice to Milwaukee-area residents on family law, landlord-tenant issues, small and large claims and credit-consumer issues.
We encourage employees to actively contribute to the causes they care about. The firm supports employee-driven participation on boards and committees, and financial sponsorships and gifts in communities across Wisconsin. We have a long history of substantial commitment to organizations working to advance arts and culture, education, the environment, health care, social services, children with special needs, animal welfare and more. Employees receive paid time off for volunteering.
In 2022, Godfrey & Kahn was invited into the Archbishop John Martin Henni Marquette University Law School Founders Society for giving that has exceeded $1 million. The firm believes deeply in advancing Marquette University’s mission to Be The Difference.
