Today, April 16, 2020, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary-designee Andrea Palm issued Emergency Order #28, an extension of the Safer at Home Order first issued on March 24, 2020. Emergency Order #28 takes effect Friday, April 24, 2020, and will remain in effect until Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

While generally viewed as an extension of the initial Safer at Home Order, the new order provides additional specifications and requirements for essential and non-essential businesses. The Evers administration also published a Frequently Asked Questions document.

Godfrey & Kahn attorneys are reviewing the order in full and will provide more information and analysis soon via our COVID-19 Resource Center.
