Most small business owners have great products and services but often lack a human resources background. This workshop is for business owners and startup entrepreneurs who need an understanding of Wisconsin and federal laws to avoid legal traps and liability related to hiring, retaining and terminating employees.

The Presenter

Rebeca LopezAttorney Rebeca Lopez, of Godfrey & Kahn, LLP is a practicing attorney in Wisconsin. Rebeca is a member of the firm's Labor, Employment & Immigration Law Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Rebeca assists clients with a wide variety of day-to-day and complex employment matters, including addressing disability and leave accommodation requests, wage and hour complaints, employment discrimination allegations, enforcing (and challenging) former and current employee restrictive covenant obligations, and legal issues that arise when hiring and terminating employees. Rebeca also assists clients with drafting and enforcing employment policies and agreements.
