Mónica Santa María presents: Temporary Work Authorization Options for Elementary and Secondary School Teachers

This session will provide an overview of the eligibility requirements for the H-1B and J-1 programs, the two temporary-worker immigration programs schools rely on most often when hiring a foreign-national teacher. The session will also describe important pitfalls, tips and timing considerations when determining whether to sponsor a teacher for one of these programs. There will be a question and answer period and, if time allows, a brief introduction to the green card process.
