Airriess, Dawood and Newman named 2020 Unsung Heroes

MILWAUKEE (Nov. 18, 2020) – Godfrey & Kahn is pleased to announce that Crystal Airriess, Karryn Dawood and Kelly Newman have been recognized as 2020 Unsung Heroes by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Airriess, a paralegal with the firm’s Corporate Law Practice, joined Godfrey & Kahn in June 2015. She assists with mergers, conversions, acquisitions and reorganizations.

Dawood, a paralegal in the firm’s Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration Practice, has worked with Godfrey & Kahn for more than 28 years. She is responsible for assisting with asset transfers as well as the probate and trust administration process after a death occurs. She also handles gift tax returns for the firm’s clients.

Newman has been with Godfrey & Kahn for nearly 20 years and serves as the billing manager. She is responsible for managing the firm’s billing team, which includes oversight of the client billing process, timekeeper entry, Request for Proposal preparation, ad hoc reporting requests and e-Billing management.

The Wisconsin Law Journal developed this award to honor employees who work behind the scenes to ensure the success of law firms as well as government agencies.
