MILWAUEE (Aug. 31, 2020) – Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that Ashley A. Smith has been selected for inclusion into National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in Wisconsin.

Smith is an attorney in both the Corporate and Startups & Venture Capital Practice Groups at Godfrey & Kahn. She works with closely held businesses and start-ups handling a variety of legal matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, commercial financing, and corporate governance. She also helps early-stage companies and founders navigate the common pitfalls of entrepreneurship. Smith graduated with her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2018.

The selection process for this honor is based on a multi-phase process which includes peer nominations combined with third party research. The result of the selection process is a credible list of top black lawyers chosen to represent their state.
