MILWAUKEE (April 20, 2026) – Godfrey & Kahn is pleased to announce that Marvin Bynum has been named to BizTimes Milwaukee’s 2026 Notable Leaders in Law. This recognition honors accomplished attorneys who have demonstrated leadership in their organizations and the broader legal community, as well as a strong commitment to professional excellence and community involvement.

Marvin, a shareholder in the firm’s Real Estate & Construction practice, is known by clients and colleagues alike for his strong work ethic and practical, solutions-driven approach to client service. He advises clients on all facets of commercial real estate transactions, including development, financing, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and low-income housing tax credit-financed projects.

His experience spans a wide range of property types, from sports facilities to manufacturing plants and nonprofit office spaces. He has represented clients ranging from local startups to multinational corporations, bringing a well-rounded perspective that allows him to anticipate challenges and develop tailored strategies for institutional lenders, landlords, tenants and other commercial real estate stakeholders.

Beyond his legal practice, Marvin is actively involved in firm leadership and the broader legal community. He serves on Godfrey & Kahn’s Board of Directors and Culture & Belonging Committee, and on the board of TerraLex, a global network of independent law firms. He previously co-chaired the firm’s Recruiting Committee, served on the Compensation Committee, and played a key role in several firm initiatives, including the design and planning of the 833 East building project.

Outside the firm, Marvin brings his real-world experience into the classroom as an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School, where he teaches a course on real estate transactions.
