Matt WuestMILWAUKEE, WI (Sept. 19, 2017) ─ Godfrey & Kahn is pleased to announce that Matt Wuest, an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, has been named an Up & Coming Lawyer by the Wisconsin Law Journal. Matt represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, focusing on intellectual property disputes as well as other complex, commercial disputes, such as business torts, dealer and distributor actions, contract claims, and issues facing financial institutions, such as trust liability and securities fraud.

He represents both private and public clients in state and federal court in Wisconsin, as well as in other states throughout the country. Matt has also practiced in federal bankruptcy courts, successfully defending clients against adversary proceedings.

Matt is Chair of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Pro Bono Committee. With the help of his fellow committee members, Matt helped to pioneer the Eastern District’s Federal Legal Assistance Program, which currently assists pro se litigants with understanding the process and procedure of litigating in United States District Court.

Matt received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
