MILWAUKEE, WI (Feb. 28, 2020) - Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce that Ashley A. Smith is recognized as a Special Honoree in the Law category at The Milwaukee Times’ 35th Annual Black Excellence Awards.
The Black Excellence Awards highlights and honors individuals who exemplify outstanding qualities of leadership, extraordinary achievement and community service.

Ashley started at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. in 2018 in the Corporate Practice Group. She received her law degree from Marquette University Law School where she served as president of Marquette’s Black Law Student Association and was the Black Midwest Law Student Association Regional Secretary. Currently, Ashley is on the Board of Directors of the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center and Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers, and a volunteer attorney for the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation.
