MILWAUKEE (Dec. 10, 2021) – Godfrey & Kahn is excited to announce that Yelena Goloborodko, Jamie Kroenig, Betsy McGuire and Carey Provan have been recognized as 2021 Unsung Heroes by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Goloborodko, the firm’s accounting manager, joined Godfrey & Kahn in 2014. When the firm decided to roll out a practice management software implementation, Yelena prepared her team members by cross training and giving everyone an improved understanding of the various accounting services provided. As a leader, she worked diligently through long days and weekends to get the job done.
Kroening is a senior research specialist at Godfrey & Kahn. After recent retirements at the leadership and management level for our research services department, Kroening was instrumental in helping the Madison attorneys transition from a remote environment during COVID-19 by ensuring they had access to tools and materials needed.
McGuire is a paralegal in the firm’s intellectual property practice. During the pandemic, she helped the team operate by volunteering to come into the office while many of the attorneys stayed home. She has trained and mentored paralegals on countless occasions and routinely helps new attorneys at Godfrey & Kahn.
Provan has been with the firm since 2017 and serves as the project management office and applications manager. With more than 15 years of experience of IT, Provan spearheaded the firm’s multimillion dollar practice management software implementation. Her tireless efforts, long hours and ability to maintain composure under immense pressure has helped keep the project on track and deliver a product that will drive efficiencies across the company.
