Meet Katie
Katie is an attorney in the Milwaukee office and a member of the firm’s Corporate practice. She focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting and general corporate matters.
A significant portion of Katie’s practice involves middle-market mergers and acquisitions. She represents family-owned businesses, private equity sponsors and strategic buyers in complex buy- and sell-side transactions, helping clients navigate the legal and practical considerations in asset transactions, stock transactions and mergers. She also represents private equity firms in platform and add-on acquisitions and advises established companies on strategic growth transactions.
Katie provides practical, hands-on guidance from inception through post-closing matters, including ongoing legal support and strategic advice. In addition to her transactional work, Katie counsels clients on corporate governance matters and complex commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Katie was a legal intern at Kohl’s Corporation. She earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served on the moot court board and worked as a research assistant focusing on corporate governance scholarship.
