Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. adds eight attorneys

GREEN BAY, MADISON AND MILWAUKEE, WIS. (Oct. 14, 2015) -- Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce the addition of eight new attorneys to the firm’s Corporate, Health Care, Intellectual Property, Investment Management, Labor, Employment & Immigration and Litigation Practice Groups.

Molly R. Berkery has joined the firm’s Health Care Practice Group in the Green Bay office. Berkery earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, received her Master of Public Health from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public health and completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Berkery was an associate at another firm in Green Bay. She also worked as a postdoctoral legal fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

Julie A. D’Angelo has joined the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group in the Madison office. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and earned her bachelor’s degree, Dean’s List, from Columbia University. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, D’Angelo served as senior counsel for a multinational financial institution supporting the company’s wealth management business.

James A. Joyce has joined Godfrey & Kahn’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Madison office. Joyce earned his J.D., cum laude, from Franklin Pierce Law and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Joyce was an associate at a firm in Madison and previously worked for several years as a field service engineer and an engineering consultant.

Grace E. Kim has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office. She received her J.D. from New England School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from DePaul University in Chicago. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Kim was an associate at a firm in Chicago and volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

Katheryn A. Mills has joined Godfrey & Kahn’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. While attending law school, Mills was an intern at Marquette University Office of the General Counsel and served as a summer law clerk for the Wisconsin Public Service Commission conducting legal research.

Adam R. Prinsen has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and earned his bachelor’s degree, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Prinsen served as a Student Attorney in the Neighborhood Law Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Economic Justice Institute where he provided free legal services to low-income residents of Madison, primarily representing clients in landlord/tenant and employment and wage cases.

Linda S. Schmidt has rejoined Godfrey & Kahn’s Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office.  She received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, earned her Master of Arts from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and obtained her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California – Santa Barbara. Prior to joining the firm, Schmidt practiced as a member of the Government Affairs team at Swidler Berlin LLP (n/k/a Bingham McCutchen LLP) in Washington, D.C.

Thomas P. Trier has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and earned his bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Trier was an associate at a firm in Minneapolis. He also served as a Judicial Intern to Justice David Prosser, Wisconsin Supreme Court, conducting legal research and revising judicial opinions for civil and criminal cases.
