What Union and Non-Union Employers Need to Know About NLRA Developments
a breakout session at the 2021 Manufacturing First Expo & Conference
Many non-union businesses mistakenly ignore developments under the National Labor Relations Act. However, the NLRA’s right to engage in concerted protected activity extends to both union and non-union employees alike. Under the new Administration, the Board is and will continue to reverse the Trump Board's more employer friendly approach to matters governing employee conduct, use of employer's email systems, and other matters governing the workplace. Also, employers should expect more aggressive tactics by the Board in pursuing unfair labor practice charges, along with the enactment of procedural changes making it easier to organize a union.
In this session, learn how to protect your union or non-union business through handbook and policy updates, how to prevent and respond to union organizing, and how to prepare for the potential impacts of the PRO Act.
