At this session, you will gain the tools and knowledge you need to make quick and informed decisions about how a bankruptcy filing affects pending litigation. You will learn:

  • The effects a bankruptcy filing has on your case if filed before your next hearing/trial dates
  • Whether the bankruptcy filing will stay your pending State Court litigation
  • How the opposing party’s bankruptcy discharge could affect your client’s claim
  • Whether your pending claims can be argued before the State Court or must go to the Bankruptcy Court
