Coordinating the Equifax Breach Response: Are Lawyers a Credit?

Responding to a data security breach requires the expertise of various IT professionals. Previous ISACA presentations have focused on the role of IT in breach response. At the same time, lawyers descend on the site of the breach. Why are lawyers involved in the breach response? This session will discuss the role of lawyers in responding to a data breach and best practices for coordinating legal and IT activities on parallel paths to serve the client well, using the Equifax data security breach as a model.
