MILWAUKEE, WISC. (April 7, 2020) - Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that Timothy Nixon, a shareholder and leader of the firm’s Business Finance, Reorganization and Bankruptcy Practice Group, has joined the board of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB).

Nixon previously served on ACB’s Seventh Circuit Nominating Committee, which is responsible for the nomination and selection of qualified candidates to fellowship in the ACB. He currently serves on the Education Committee which arranges continuing legal education conferences and as an ACB Pro Bono Committee member, where he helps direct grants to help low-income people in financial distress.

For more than 30 years, Nixon has represented clients in state and federal courts, including experience in front of the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Courts of Appeal. He has represented clients in some of the largest U.S. bankruptcy cases and has substantial experience in Wisconsin Chapter 128 Receiverships and Wisconsin Chapter 109 wage lien law. He regularly authors articles on bankruptcy law topics and has co-authored books on insolvency issues.
