MILWAUKEE, WI (May 10, 2019) Godfrey & Kahn shareholder, Kristin Roeper, was honored for her work with small businesses at the SCORE/ SBA Small Business Awards Breakfast. Roeper was nominated by the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC). Roeper has provided legal assistance to WWBIC for more than 15 years. Her volunteer efforts have helped WWBIC close numerous SBA Microloans, SBA Community Advantage loans and other types of small business loans. She is also a longstanding member of WWBIC’s loan committee, which reviews and decides the course of action on client loan requests.
As a member of the Corporate Practice Group at Godfrey & Kahn, Roeper’s work concentrates on commercial loans and other commercial financing transactions representing both lenders and borrowers. In addition to conventional loan transactions, Roeper’s experience includes substantial experience in asset-based transactions, loan workouts and dealer financing. Kristin also has experience in the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights area, including work in the context of both formal bankruptcy proceedings and informal workouts, where she has represented both debtors and creditors.
