  • Submitted voluntary disclosure of export violations to U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security
  • Represented primary target of a federal grand jury investigation into an alleged multi-million dollar tax fraud conspiracy
  • Drafted international trade compliance policies for publicly-traded company 
  • Investigated multi-million dollar kickback scheme perpetrated by in-house lawyer
  • Responded to criminal investigation involving mandatory reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect under Wisconsin law
  • Assisted financial institution with investigation of potential elder abuse by customer’s trustee
  • Drafted voluntary disclosure of anti-dumping duty violations to U.S. Customs and Border Protection
  • Investigated potential improper payments to county government officials in connection with public schools project
  • Defended target of criminal grand jury investigation involving alleged false statements to federal agents
  • Represented client subpoenaed in a secret John Doe proceeding
  • Defended health care provider in federal criminal case charging Medicare fraud 
  • Investigated whistleblower allegations about environmental hazards at publicly-traded company
  • Advised manufacturer of electronic components regarding compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Represented defendant in federal criminal case charging multiple Hobbs Act violations
  • Assisted client in reporting embezzlement by bookkeeper to federal law enforcement 
  • Represented public company in litigation arising from a multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme
  • Resolved professional licensing matter on behalf of physician before Wisconsin and Illinois medical examining boards
  • Represented senior executive of engineering firm in criminal investigation of alleged violations of the False Claims Act and the Buy America Act
  • Protested audit findings by U.S. Customs and Border Protection alleging improper import duty classification 
  • Monitored a global anti-bribery hotline for a multinational company
  • Assisted client in responding to audit by State of Wisconsin regarding payments received under the Affordable Care Act
  • Facilitated involvement of federal law enforcement in investigation of alleged fraud by insurance agent
  • Represented in-house attorney identified as target of federal criminal investigation of alleged government contracting fraud with U.S. Department of Defense
  • Assisted physician practice group in investigation related to narcotics prescription practices of one of its members
  • Conducted internal investigation for nursing home that uncovered payment of illicit bonuses and embezzlement by senior executives
