Meet Mathew
Mathew Peterson is a member of the Corporate practice in the Milwaukee office. Mathew's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, equity financings and general corporate law matters.
In his mergers and acquisitions practice, Mathew advises clients on asset purchases, stock purchases, mergers, recapitalizations and various forms of private equity investments. In this role, Mathew has advised a variety of buyers and sellers, including closely-held businesses and their equity holders, publicly traded corporations and private equity funds.
In addition to his mergers and acquisitions practice, Mathew frequently advises clients on a variety of commercial contracting and corporate governance matters, and acts as outside general counsel to several clients’ day-to-day commercial needs. Mathew’s vast commercial experience includes negotiating and drafting manufacturing and supply agreements, equipment leases, distribution and sales representative agreements, intellectual property licenses, confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements, terms and conditions of purchase and sale, warehousing and logistics agreements, software licenses and other services agreements, both domestic and international. Mathew’s commercial experience expands to a wide variety of industries, including public utilities, manufacturing, software and digital marketing, biotechnology and other fields.
