MILWAUKEE (Jan. 2, 2020) ─ Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that nine attorneys have been elevated to shareholder.

Marvin C. Bynum II – Real Estate Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Bynum’s practice focuses on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including development, financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition. He is experienced in representing local, regional, national and international businesses. He received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School.

Erin (Maggie) M. Cook – Litigation Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Cook represents a broad range of clients in a variety of complex commercial disputes including: labor and employment litigation, financial services litigation, real estate and construction litigation, contract actions, and business torts. She has experience litigating in state and federal trial and appellate courts and before various administrative agencies. She received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. 

Mark W. Hancock – Litigation Practice Group (Madison, Wisc.)

Hancock has litigated numerous complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts nationwide. He is experienced in a variety of substantive legal areas, including contracts, business torts, insurance, bankruptcy and intellectual property. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Matthew J. Kovacich – Corporate Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Kovacich’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital and strategic commercial relationships for businesses in various industries. He advises clients on all stages of a business, from formation, financing and capitalization, to exit strategies. He received his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

Mathew R. Peterson – Corporate Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Peterson’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, equity financings and general corporate law matters. He advises clients on asset purchases, stock purchases, mergers, recapitalizations and various forms of private equity investments. He received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

David W. Platt – Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups (Green Bay, Wisc.)

Platt’s experience includes mergers and acquisitions and drafting commercial contracts, such as supply, distribution, license, contractor, employment, non-competition and confidentiality arrangements. He also represents clients in the acquisition, development, and sale of office, industrial, retail and other commercial real estate. He received his J.D. from the St. Thomas School of Law.

Allison W. Reimann – Litigation Practice Group (Madison, Wisc.)

Reimann’s diverse practice focuses on civil litigation, government investigations and antitrust in a broad complement of industries with a particular focus on health care. She has represented a range of health care clients, including hospitals, health systems, health insurers, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical wholesalers, clinical laboratories, and other providers. She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Justin P. Webb – Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Webb helps clients with the legal issues that arise from technology and data in an increasingly digital world, with a specific focus on cybersecurity and data privacy matters. His work includes regulatory compliance, data breach response and prevention, establishing data privacy programs, reviewing and negotiating cyber liability insurance policies, and more. He received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School.

Matthew M. Wuest – Litigation Practice Group (Milwaukee, Wisc.)

Wuest has represented clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, focusing on intellectual property disputes as well as other complex, commercial disputes. He represents both private and public clients in state and federal court in Wisconsin, as well as in other states across the country. He received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
