Meet Allison
Allison is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice and chairs Godfrey & Kahn’s Antitrust practice, where she practices in the areas of litigation, corporate compliance and counseling and mergers and acquisitions. She also is a member of the firm’s Government Investigations, White Collar & Compliance practice and Healthcare practice.
Allison’s antitrust litigation experience includes both individual and class actions brought under federal and state antitrust laws. She has represented clients in a range of antitrust litigation matters including territorial allocation, no-poach agreements, exclusive dealing, tying, refusals to deal, covenants not to compete and alleged “sham” government petitioning. Allison represents clients in a range of industries, with particular experience representing healthcare entities in antitrust litigation.
Allison’s antitrust practice also includes counseling and training clients on a variety of antitrust issues including price fixing and other criminal conduct; pricing and distribution issues, such as minimum advertised price policies, resale price maintenance, and the Robinson-Patman Act; non-solicitation agreements, no-poach agreements, and wage fixing; and joint ventures and other competitor collaborations. Allison also frequently advises clients on antitrust issues in mergers and acquisitions including information sharing in due diligence, antitrust risk evaluation, and pre-merger antitrust investigations, including second requests under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
In addition to her antitrust practice, Allison represents clients in a range of commercial litigation matters in trial and appellate courts around the country, including contract disputes, business torts, deceptive trade practices, and trademarks.
Allison is listed in Best Lawyers for Antitrust Law and Commercial Litigation and was named a “Leader in the Law” by the Wisconsin Law Journal. She co-chairs the ABA Litigation Section’s Antitrust Litigation committee. Allison also maintains an active pro bono practice and frequently speaks on issues relating to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Allison practiced antitrust and commercial litigation at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago. She also was a law clerk for the Honorable William C. Canby, Jr. of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
