Litigation Update

The 2022 litigation update will present on recent changes and developments in trust and estate litigation, with an emphasis on Wisconsin and other Uniform Trust Code jurisdictions. Topics will include fiduciary liability, attorney-client privilege and the fiduciary exception, attorneys’ fees and costs, and formation issues.
Trustees' Duties when Dealing with Business Interests
50 minutes | Presented by Jordan Taylor and Ryan Van De Hey
An overview of fundamental concepts that professional Trustees must consider when acting as fiduciaries of Trusts that hold business interests. The presentation will focus on various business entity ownership vehicles, common estate planning transfer techniques and ancillary issues associated with business interests. The presentation will conclude with an assessment of fiduciary duties owed in the course of administering business interests.
