Three Godfrey & Kahn attorneys earn prestigious Certified Information Privacy Professional credential

MILWAUKEE, WI (Oct. 25, 2018) ─ Godfrey & Kahn is pleased to announce that Sarah Sargent an in the firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity and Technology & Digital Business Practice Groups, has become Certified Information Privacy Professionals/US through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). This certification further positions them as national leaders in the area of data privacy and cybersecurity law, demonstrating their knowledge of the myriad laws and regulations surrounding information privacy that impact our clients.
Sargent’s experience in deftly navigating regulations such as the European Union’s sweeping General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants her unique insight when advising clients on the most appropriate and effective choices when examining insurance policies and technology contracts. Beyond preventative efforts, Sarah’s focus also includes data breach remediation and litigation, working with opposing counsels, forensics experts and government regulators to resolve security incidents promptly and efficiently.
